AN ABORIGINAL CULINARY JOURNEY
A unique partnership between First Nations peoples, Breville (known also as Sage) and the National Museum of Australia has given birth to a range of kitchen appliances that celebrate contemporary design and reflect 65,000 years of ongoing Indigenous culture. 100 per cent of the profits from the collection go to various projects supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
An Aboriginal Culinary Journey: Designed for Living is an exhibition of objects from the National Museum of Australia’s collection alongside a newly commissioned range of appliances featuring stunning designs from contemporary artists.
I was there to photograph the dinner at the Australian Embassy celebrating this unique partnership and the introduction to the exhibition.
